Arkansas Amends Social Media Law

Compliance UpdateArkansas has amended its social media law to close a loophole.

Previously, employers could not require, request or suggest that an employee or applicant disclose a username or password or change the privacy settings to increase third-party access to their content. Now, the law also prohibits requiring/requesting/suggesting that they add an employer’s agent to their list of contacts.
