Raymond Conrad - Owner and CEO

Ray has been with GIS since its inception in 1966 and purchased the company from Policy Management Systems Corporation where he served as Sales Director in 1996. It has been through Ray's overall vision and leadership that GIS has grown an average of 50% each year since 1998 with no acquisitions included in this growth. Ray was recently awarded Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 Carolinas, and was a finalist for the National Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Albert Bueno - President

Albert's career includes executive positions in operations, sales, and marketing for major contract security firms and background screening companies. His diverse work history includes corporate investigations and security systems analysis. He has spent the last 12 years in the background investigation industry and has more than 25 years of experience in the security industry. Albert has been a member of the American Society for Industrial Security since 1987, and is a member of the Lexington County School District 5 Business Advisory Council.

David Bartley, Executive Vice President

David Bartley has twenty-nine years of acquired business skills in corporate-level management of projects, client relationships, personnel and customer relationship management.  David has been a part of GIS for more than 20 years and contributes his skills in communication, contract negotiations, national account implementation and relationship management in support of GIS’ business development efforts.

Johnny Bitar - Chief Information Officer

Johnny oversees all aspects of our Information Technology Group, including system architecture and development, and internal and external Web applications. He personally heads up product development for new and existing customers ensuring our applications are user-friendly and fit the specific needs of our customers. Johnny is also a certified Quality Manager and member of the American Society for Quality, and has over 15 years of experience.

Sharon Mann - Chief Financial Officer

Sharon has over 16 years of experience in finance and accounting in both the background screening and healthcare industries. Sharon works closely with new product development to streamline costs and production to maintain the most competitive pricing and partnership agreements that are favorable to our customers. Sharon has been with GIS almost 8 years, has been a CPA for over 16 years and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Accounting.

Lori Webb - Senior Vice President, Operations & Compliance

Lori has over 22 years experience in the background screening and security industries, with extensive experience in public records retrieval and interpretation, credentialing, and systems delivery. With intimate knowledge of the Fair Credit Reporting Act she has been a featured guest speaker and educator at conferences both in the screening industry and others. Her professional seasoning extends to numerous compliance-mandated industries with a focus on project management and operational administration as primary areas of her specialization.

Joe Taber - Senior Vice President, Sales

Joe has over 15 years of core system sales and solutions engineering experience with major software and services providers, including a senior sales management position at Computer Sciences Corporation. Prior to his sales career, Joe spent 18 years in Operations, managing a diverse set of business functions for Financial Services firms. These typically included the Finance, IT, and HR staff functions associated with his Operating Groups.

Paul Miles - Executive Vice President, Pangea Human Capital Solutions

Paul Miles oversees product development and strategy of GIS’ Pangea People Management solutions. Paul brings over 25 years of experience with government-regulated industries to incorporate statistical process controls and statistical process improvement methodologies. Paul has worked heavily in the Human Resource space with companies such as Unicru, Itax Group, Performance Assessment Network, and Deploy Solutions. Paul has assisted these firms in the development and commercialization of products and services designed to assist companies’ sourcing, acquisition, deployment, development, and retention of their employee-based talent.
