The Insurance Industry Welcomes a New Alternative to On-line Contracting with Pangea for Insurance

June 30, 2008

Until now, many insurance providers have had to rely on paper intensive manual programs and basic background screening platforms to assist them in processing their non-typical workforce of insurance producers. General Information Services, Inc. (GIS) has created Pangea for Insurance to take the insurance industry from tedious time intensive tasks to a modern and streamlined, paper saving, web-based system that has some of the lowest implementation fees in the industry. Recent cost benefit analysis studies by GIS have revealed that many insurance companies can actually pay for all or most of their background screening services with the savings that are realized by implementing Pangea for Insurance.

The recent launch of this product is quickly gaining national exposure and industry attention. Insurance companies using Pangea for Insurance can now have their producers apply through an online application that reflects their business standards, requests specific industry information and offers standard ACORD questions. The applications collect an electronic signature from producers, granting permission to conduct background checks (that are ordered and delivered through the Pangea for Insurance system as well). The Contracting Management Dashboard allows the insurance company contracting staff to work all of their applications through one flexible tool with integrated background investigation ordering at their fingertips.

Pangea for Insurance can also provide online applications and background screening services for agency on-boarding too. “We feel that the insurance industry has specialized needs that just cannot be met with traditional application management and background screening platforms. GIS has made it a priority to supply the industry with an easy to use, and secure system that will alleviate what can be a very time intensive and costly process,” says General Information Services CEO, Raymond Conrad. As this product continues to advance and evolve, Pangea for Insurance may be the standard product for contracting producers and agency on-boarding in the very near future.
