GIS ANNOUNCES TAX CREDIT SERVICE
Chapin, S.C. – General Information Services, Inc. (GIS), a leader in providing background screening solutions, is announcing a new tax-incentive service that is designed to help companies maximize their tax credits.

With over $2 billion in credits going unclaimed each year, GIS recognized the need for a tax-credit service and the need for it to be done well. “The industry standard is 70% accuracy, which helps explain the unclaimed $2 billion,” said Mike Grammel, director of financial services. “GIS, on the other hand, boasts a 98% accuracy rate for state and local incentives.”

“We pride ourselves on accuracy, speed and cost-efficiency here at GIS,” continued Grammel, who has over 20 years of experience in the tax credit industry.  “Our high accuracy rate, combined with a 48-hour turnaround and our policy of not charging the client unless credits are received, makes us the best solution available.”

GIS built their Tax Credit & Incentives program to maximize both location-based tax and employment-based tax credits in addition to a number of other forms of credits and incentives. Location-based tax credits are intended to encourage economic development in depressed areas. Employment-based tax credits are given when a company hires people who meet certain conditions.
